      Non-crystalline Functional Materials Group devotes to designing new amorphous alloys and investigating their physical and chemical properties. Our research interest mainly includes:
(1) The evolution law of the non-equilibrium characteristics, the inheritance of metal melts, new phenomena, and new mechanism in amorphous alloys;
(2) The high-throughput preparation, high-throughput characterization and big-data analysis of amorphous alloys;
(3) Developing the functional applications of amorphous alloys, such as the soft magnetic properties and the magnetocaloric effects;
(4) Studying the electro-catalysis behavior of amorphous alloys

      Our group totally includes 14 staff members that graduated and worked in research institutes or universities in the U.S., Japan, Australia, or CAS.  The group leader Prof. Jun-Qiang Wang was awarded by the Excellent Young Scientists Fund, ISMANAM young scientist award, etc. The group members have been granted by the Excellent Young Scientists Fund/Key Program/Young Scientists Fund/Major Research Programs/Key International (Regional) Joint Research Program,National Key R&D Program of China, Instrument Developing Project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Ningbo 2025 Science and Technology Innovation Project, etc. Our group has published two monographs in English, one monograph in Chinese and more than 80 research articles in Physical Review Letters, Advanced Functional Materials, Nature Communications, PNAS, Acta Materialia, Journal of Materials Chemistry A, etc., which was cited more than 2000 times. We have applied for 24 patents for invention and 12 of them have been authorized yet.

      The team icon originates from the combination of the first letters of Non-Crystalline Functional Materials (NCFM). It represents the main research field of the team.
(1) The team icon is like a door, impressing that the team has developed into a new stage.
(2) The team icon is also like a top-hat, indicating that the establishment of the team is worth to cheer up. The members are with cooperation and friendship.
(3) From the left to right side, the team icon is like a flying wild goose, holding an olive branch. It is calling friends to build a home together.
