On November 22, at the invitation of our team, Yi Jun, associate professor of Shanghai University, Wang Gang, associate professor of Anhui University of Technology, Zhu Dongdong, associate professor of Quzhou University, and Wang Ye, a professor of Harbin University of Science and Technology, visited Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering and had academic exchanges.
Professor Junqiang Wang presided over the report meeting, and the four teachers shared the latest research progress of their research group with the students in the form of reports. Associate Professor Yi Jun gave an academic report entitled "Guiding and Deflecting Cracks in Bulk Metallic Glasses to Increase Damage Tolerance". He mainly aimed at the problem of insufficient toughness of bulk metallic glasses and proposed to pre introduce shear deformation zones by referring to the toughening methods of biological materials, which is conducive to improving the toughness of metallic glasses during deformation and provides a good idea for improving the mechanical properties of bulk metallic glasses. Associate Professor Wang Gang gave an academic report entitled "Design of the Intermediate Layer of Ceramic and Metal Fiber Welded Joints". He mainly studied the pressure, filler metal, contact area and other issues during the welding of ceramics and various synthetic metals, providing guidance for industrial production. Associate Professor Zhu Dongdong gave an academic report entitled "Research on the Microstructure and Related Behavior of Ti Al Intermetallic Compounds Solidified under High Pressure". He mainly conducted a series of studies on the generation of new phases induced by high pressure. The experimental results show that it is significant for the design of amorphous nanocrystal systems. Mr. Wang Ye made an academic report entitled "Solid and semi-solid recycling of light alloy scrap". He pointed out that light alloy is widely used at present, and the problem of waste recycling is prominent in the process of industrialization. The solid and semi-solid recycling methods of pressing can not only fully utilize waste recycling, but also improve mechanical properties, which has potential application prospects. After the report, the four teachers and on-site teachers and students had a warm exchange and discussion on many hot issues.
