On November 25, at the invitation of our team, Professor Vladislav Yu from Russian National University of Science and Technology visited NIMTE and had an academic exchange. Prof. Junqiang Wang presided over the presentation, and Prof. Vladislav Yu delivered an academic presentation entitled "Dual-phase metallic glass/polymer composite materials".
The report states that it is currently very attractive to produce lightweight materials with enhanced mechanical properties by obtaining metal-glass matrix composites filled with polymers or polymer matrix composites filled with metal-glass.Prof. Vladislav Yu introduced some of their research results in this regard, and the resulting composites showed quite good adhesion and thermal properties. In addition, magnesium-based glass and polycaprolactone (PCL) have been studied for repairing hard tissue defects, and biocompatibility studies confirm that this metal-glass /PCL composite is a fluoroscopic material for repairing or reconstructing defects related to maxillofacial injury. After the report, Professor Vladislav Yu and the teachers and students on site had a warm exchange and discussion on many hot issues.
