On May 15, Professor Qiaodan  Hu and Associate Professor Fan Yang of Shanghai Jiaotong University visited Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology & Engineering at the invitation of Research Fellow Wang Junqiang of Non-Crystalline Functional Materials Group, CNIMTE, and made the academic reports entitled "Research on the Selection of Homogeneous Polymorphs of Titanate Melt and the Structural Mechanism of Glass Transition" and "Defect chemistry, microstructure and electrical properties of solid electrics".
Professor Hu Qiaodan shared the in situ X-ray characterization system developed by his team and studied the structure evolution of the melt in combination with the aerodynamic suspension and synchrotron radiation in-situ technology. He described in detail the occurrence of polycrystalline type selection, the origin of the atomic and molecular structure of polycrystalline type selection, the evolution of CSR OMRO, and the impact of coupling on the crystallization and vitrification process. Later, Mr. Yang Fan shared the research report on the chemical defects, microstructure, and electrical properties of solid electrolytes; The research background, performance, and application of solid electrolytes are introduced. The microstructure and chemical defect characteristics of fluorite, perovskite, and pyrochlore fluorite are described in detail. After the report, the participants had a deeper discussion and interaction on the details of the experiment, the evolution characteristics of the melt, the physical mechanism, and the evolution of defects in the solid electrolyte.
