      The research group of non-crystalline functional materials is mainly oriented to the major national and industrial needs and the world development frontier, and is committed to the research of new amorphous alloy materials, electrical/magnetic functional properties and advanced characterization technologies. The group has 14 staff members, and the main members have worked and studied in famous research institutions in the United States, Japan, Australia, Chinese Academy of Sciences and other countries. Professor Jun-Qiang Wang, Principal investigator, has won the NSFC for the Excellent Young Scientists Fund, 19th International Symposium on Metastable, Amorphous and Nanostructured Materials Young Scientist Award and other honors and awards. The group members have been supported by the NSFC for the Excellent Young Scientists Fund/General Program/Young Scientists Fund/National Major Instrument Equipment R&D Program/International (Regional) Cooperation and Exchange Programs, National Key R&D Program of China, Major Instrument Equipment R&D Project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province for Distinguished Young Scholars, Ningbo 2025 Science and Technology Innovation Project, etc. As of the ending of 2022, 2 monographs in English and 1 monograph in Chinese were prepared, more than 110 papers have been published in authoritative journals, such as Advanced Functional Materials, PNAS, Acta Materialia, Journal of Materials Chemistry A, Physical Review B/Materials, Applied Physics Letters, and these papers have been cited more than 3,000 times.
      We seek two highly motivated and talented postdoctoral, including General Postdoctoral Fellow, Excellent Postdoctoral Fellow and Distinguished Research Fellow, are now recruited from home and abroad to join our enthusiastic, collaborative, and diverse team in an outstanding scientific environment to take part in our exciting research.

Remuneration and Benefit:
1. General Postdoctoral Fellow
  • The starting salary is more than 260,000 yuan ($36,000)/year, excluding annual bonus.
  • Postdoctoral stay in Ningbo after leaving the station will enjoy a household allowance of 300,000-500,000 yuan ($40,000-70,000) from Ningbo.
2. Excellent Postdoctoral Fellow (Only for outstanding doctoral graduates of the current year or within one year of graduation)
  • The starting salary is more than 310,000 yuan ($42,000)/year, excluding annual bonus.
  • The research fund of 400,000 yuan ($55,000) per year.
  • Institution establishment worker.
  • Postdoctoral stay in Ningbo after leaving the station will enjoy a household allowance of 300,000-500,000 yuan ($40,000-70,000) from Ningbo.
3. Distinguished Research Fellow (Only for outstanding doctoral graduates of the current year or within one year of graduation)
  • The starting salary is more than 360,000 yuan ($49,000)/year, excluding annual bonus.
  • A one-time scientific research fund of 1 million yuan ($138,000).
  • Institution establishment worker.
  • Postdoctoral stay in Ningbo after leaving the station will enjoy a household allowance of 300,000-500,000 yuan ($40,000-70,000) from Ningbo.
  • After the three-year contract expires, those who have passed the examination can directly apply for the position of associate professor
When applying for postdoctoral funding projects such as the Postdoctoral Innovation Program, the benefits can be accumulated, and the maximum annual salary can reach 560,000 yuan ($89,600)!
Academic-research friendly and freedom. Post doctors are employed according to the institution establishment worker when they leave the station and stay in the institute, and there is a large space for career development (The number of associate professors is sufficient, and the proportion of those who meet the basic qualifications for associate professors to be promoted to associate researchers in that year is about 70%).

Research Interest: Relaxation and crystallization kinetics, electrocatalysis and magnetic properties of metallic glasses; High throughput preparation/characterization and big data analysis of new metallic glasses materials.

You have

  • A PhD in applied physics, material physics and other related majors.
  • Independent and motivated work habits and ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and the experience which published high-level academic papers by first author.
  • Strong teamwork spirit, scientific research interest and communication skills.
